Deluxe Dev Ops Support Engineer in Lenexa, Kansas

    As our DevOps Support Engineer you will work within our Support team and alongside our Delivery team. You will act as a first responder to alerts and tackling varying requests and sending timely replies to questions to our AWS customers, as well as actioning support requests on the phone and through our service desks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and Building complex AWS environments and familiar with AWS native technologies (AWS CloudFormation, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy), Terraform and Docker

  • Client-facing role requiring consultative engagement with clients and internal teams on a regular basis.

  • Actioning support requests on the phone and through our service desks, Troubleshooting and incident support

  • Act as a first responder to alerts and tackle varying requests and send timely replies to questions from our AWS customers

    Basic Qualifications:

    Education and Experience: Bachelor’s and 5 years or HS/GED and 7 years

  • 1 year in AWS infrastructure

  • Minimum AWS Certified Developer - Associate.

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or the willingness and aptitude to obtain one

  • Practical experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using both AWS native solutions as well as Industry standard.

  • Experience with re-architecting traditional applications for AWS.

  • Passion for Amazon Web Services.

  • Experience with multi-tiered architectures.

  • Practical experience with automation tools such as Ansible.

  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform (preferred) or Cloudformation.

  • Fluency in a programming language (Python preferred) and SQL.

  • Solid understanding of how to build container based applications and packaging for Kubernetes environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science / IT

Experience: 8 years in Software development with Networking and Systems Administration

  • Excellent written and presentation communication skills with the capacity to articulate complex technical topics to varying customer audiences (from developers to executives).

Additional Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older
