The Director Hostess Brands Strategy is the primary liaison between sales and marketing ensuring the development and execution of Hostess AOP’s (Annual Operating Plans) can be executed with excellence through our customers.
The role is critical in influencing, executing, and driving action/results toward Hostess Brands Sales strategy and will act as a key point person for planning, strategy, analysis, and decision support related to Hostess Sales, Sales Operations and Enterprise Activation initiatives.
This position will be responsible for Sales/Sales Ops KPI’s, creating and maintaining a customer planning cycle calendar, driving key cross functional leaders towards the development, tracking and readiness of materials for key customer JBP meetings, weekly business prioritization meetings (with help of Hostess Brands GM) and will assist with the development and execution of Sales communications, trainings and other customer presentations needs when they arise.
Support the VP of Sales Operations & Enterprise Activation and other key leadership in the development and implementation of Hostess’ Sales / Sales Ops Strategy and Business Prioritization.
Maintain and report out Sales / Sales Ops KPI’s on a monthly basis with assistance/input from other key cross functional team members. They will help identify the largest KPI gaps and collaborate with the right teams to address/solve them before the next monthly KPI review.
Attend and collaborate with GM’s and Supply Chain on weekly SKU prioritization calls across both Hostess and Voortman brands. Primary focus is around short-term to mid-term timeframes (from weekly to 12wk focus) and communicate decisions to GVP’s and key Sales leads.
Work with Supply Chain to proactively monitor and address future demand weeks (3wk to 12wk view) where we are over capacity and prioritization is needed. Follow-up with Sales GVP(s) based off of business prioritization for appropriate customer awareness.
Assist with weekly and monthly companywide Friday Flash communications and the development of a new communication tool for Sales.
Play an active role in creation of various presentations for Senior Management and other key internal and external stakeholders.
Support and assist with M&A activity or other ad hoc projects for the Sales/Sales Operations group as needed.
Collect, research, and synthesize complex and diverse information; uses intuition to complement data and information with ability to translate concepts into operational models.
Minimum of 7-10 years of previous experience in Sales, Marketing or Supply Chain required
1-2 years of previous supervisory experience required
Previous experience in SAP and consumer products company preferred.
Ability to travel domestically 15% of the time to various sites as necessary is required
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain/Operations Management or other relevant field required.
