Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician – Systems will be responsible for assembling build-to-order large electrical cabinets inclusive of various products such as relays, knife switches, voltage monitors, ethernet switches, power distribution units, and surge suppressors. These assemblies are to be used by electric utilities. We expect our Manufacturing Technicians to be self-starters capable of delivering quality products within a goal-oriented and rewarding environment. Our ideal candidate will have the drive and responsibility to work independently and continuously pursue learning while being passionate about technology.
Responsibilities
Read and understand schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
Use power tools, hand tools, and soldering equipment to assemble cabinets.
Conceptualize the end-product and measure precisely to quality specifications.
Manufacture wires and cables, cut to length, tie for neatness, install identification tags, route in tubing or wire tray, install covers and connectors, and correctly terminate.
Participate in the preparation of material for shipping including building wooden crates, packing material and equipment, installing tie downs for securing the load, and placing on skids.

1+ years of relevant experience
Electrical aptitude including wiring, wire stripping, and reading electrical prints
Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
Ability to lift 40+ pounds regularly
Effective with cable tie and cable management

Work Environment
The role is based in a climate-controlled and organized manufacturing facility. This department is the largest and most complex within the facility. The position allows for seating during portions of the job, along with standing and moving around as needed. The shift is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
