Kelly Services Facilities Technician in Lenexa, Kansas

Facilities Technician I

Location: Lenexa, KS

Shift: Monday-Friday with occasional weekends

Summary:

Perform general cleaning, restocking, vendor coordination, trash and waste removal, linen and gown distribution, and support company operations

.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Garments: Gather, palletize, and ship soiled garments

  • Bio-hazard Waste: Maintain supply, remove waste, and ensure compliance

  • Hazardous Waste: Perform inspections, label waste, coordinate pickups, and ensure compliance

  • Vendor Assistance: Assist and monitor vendors, stock scrubs and towels, coordinate recycling

  • Housekeeping: Inventory and restock lunchrooms, order supplies, bale cardboard

Core Competencies:

  • Problem-solving, client focus, cooperation, performance, accountability, influence

Technical Competencies:

  • Forklift operation, basic Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills, basic data entry, certifications for forklift, hazardous, and bio-hazardous waste, good communication, organization, flexibility, self-motivation, bilingual preferred

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience: Warehouse managerial experience desired

Physical Requirements:

  • Bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, visual inspection, English proficiency

Working Conditions:

  • Outdoor work required regardless of weather
