4x10 Day Shift \| Monday - Thursday; 6am-4:30pm \| Overtime avail

The Microbiology Division provides solutions and workflow for food, clinical, and pharmaceutical environments. The markets we serve include food manufactures and labs, clinical and healthcare, pharma, and biotech. We manufacture culture media and other microbiological diagnostic products serving customers in the pharmaceutical, food, and clinical laboratories.

How will you make an impact?

As a Farm Animal Care Associate, you will provide care to on-site animals in support of accomplishing our goal of improving lives. Your work will support scientific discovery through diagnostic testing to help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

What will you do?

Feed animals daily and provide care as needed.

Perform routine blood collection from animals applying safe practices for diagnostic purposes

Administer routine immunizations and treatments when needed as directed by on-staff veterinarian or designee.

Provide basic feed and upkeep for animals on a rotational basis

Perform routine or basic maintenance on all animal care facilities and equipment to include:

Upkeep of fence lines, drainage ditches and lawn

Provide repairs of house and farms buildings

Assist electrical or plumbing repairs as assigned

Operate farm and construction equipment and machinery such as tractors, trucks and loaders; use hand-held machinery for routine farm upkeep

Report any actual or potential safety hazards to the Supervisor, Human Resources, Safety Specialist or Senior Management.

How will you get here?

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience

0-1 year of related farm or mechanical experience strongly preferred

Certification/licensure in welding, plumbing or related field is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Maintain mechanical proficiency

Possess basic skills operating hand tools and equipment in a farming environment.

Able to lift up to 25 pounds & walk approximately up to 2 hours a day.
