Join Jack Henry’s 10-week summer internship and dive into building innovative fintech solutions that make a real difference. You’ll sharpen your skills, grow your network, and collaborate with leaders shaping the future of the industry. Your work will help break down barriers to financial health in communities. With hands-on projects, valuable mentorship, and exposure to executive leaders, this is where you’ll grow, learn, and drive impactful change.
This internship will be part of an evolving Finance Decision Support team, run by three finance professionals ready to impart wisdom. Additionally, the intern will thoughtfully weave across various units to gain exposure to profit and loss reporting, financial validation, variance analysis, data management, and much more! We value innovation, curiosity, and teamwork. While deliverables include financial variance explanations, reporting packages, and financial modeling, we envision a thought-provoking experience where the individual learns a deeper understanding of financial planning and analysis such as informing decisions, aligning finance with business strategy, and collaborating across groups to drive business forward.
Program Details
Duration: June 2 – August 8, 2025
Location: Lenexa, KS; Springfield, MO; Monett, MO
Pay: $25.00/hour
What you’ll be responsible for:
Documentation, review, and delivery of month-end budget and/ or forecast variance explanations.
Develop and validate monthly leadership reporting package.
Document and enhance manual processes to be more efficient.
Coordinate with finance leaders to collect feedback on budget process/ lessons learned.
What you’ll need to have:
Enrolled at an accredited university.
Pursuing an Accounting, Business Administration, or Financial Management degree.
Ability to work 40 hours per week throughout the duration of the internship program (June 2- August 8, 2025).
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without the need for sponsorship from Jack Henry.
What would be nice for you to have:
Academic or working experience with Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and presenting information with these resources.
A basic understanding of financial concepts such as budgeting and data analysis.
A passion and excitement for cross-collaboration and group work.
Most importantly, critical thinking, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
