The Senior Superintendents primary responsibility is to manage, in collaboration with the Project Manager, the successful completion of assigned projects. The Senior Superintendent is the lead for job site safety, quality control, and project schedule. They will be the liaison with engineer and consultants on all field and constructability as well as exercising autonomy in day-to-day operations. A successful candidate will be a team player who is self-motivated and willing to assist where needed. The Senior Superintendent will report to the General Superintendent.
Essential Functions:
- Manage job site safety, quality, and schedule for assigned projects from pre-construction to closeout.
- Ensure I-Solutions standards of quality and safety are adhered to by all. Safety culture to project team and subcontractors.
- Mentor and develop field team members while effectively managing the overall team.
- Work collaboratively with Project Manager, project team members, and field.
- Interact with Clients and design team as needed to resolve issues and expedite construction operations.
- Represent I-Solutions in a professional manner
Responsibilities:
- Manage the field and project team successfully and collaboratively.
- Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with clients, Construction Managers, project team, consultants/architect/engineers, subcontractors, adjacent community, trade unions, and governmental agencies.
- Responsible for the project set-up, job site logistics, field coordination, and project schedule.
- Review all project documents for constructability and content.
- Maintain and update project records including red line drawings
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors.
- Coordinate with inspections, subcontractor inspections, and agencies required by contractor quality control plan
- Perform daily job site walks and submit daily safety audit reports.
- Conduct and/or attend Foreman meetings, pre-task meeting, safety meetings and project staff meetings.
- Manage job site manpower production, and performance.
- Attend company and industry events including meetings, trainings, workshops, etc.
