Thermo Fisher Scientific Inside Sales Representative - Food Protection in Lenexa, Kansas

The Microbiology Division ( MBD ) is a trusted supplier of a broad range of high-quality media and diagnostic products used in clinical, industrial, research, and academic laboratories, and backed by a team of service experts, we are dedicated to microbiology. How will you make an impact?

The Inside Sales Representative position is responsible for the sale of Food Protection portfolio primarily by using the telephone; but also using email, Internet, and other technology within a defined territory. Inside Sales Representative maintains effective customer relationships, develops opportunities for growth within an existing and new customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts. Inside Sales Representative will partner with the Food Protection Account Manager at the local level to provide support and develop key growth accounts.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Execute professional sales calls via telephone to increase profitable sales growth Food Protection market.

  • Develop a business plan to achieve sales goals and objectives; results oriented.

  • Effectively track activities, collecting customer information and developing opportunities in Salesforce.com

  • Maintain knowledge of products, services, competitive activity, and other general information of interest to customers.

  • Cover vacant field territories at manager's request.

  • Establish and develop customer relationships to cultivate customer loyalty and allegiance.

  • Participate in training and development programs as a means of continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with internal and external team members to develop account specific strategies.
