Job Description

PCI is seeking an Adminstrator for our Insurance/Risk department within our Corporate operationsin Lenexa, KS. This individual is responsible for the following duties:

  • Claim Intake Process: Position will be responsible for reporting claims activity for multiple lines of insurance coverage:

  • Receiving new claims information from our branches

  • Follow up to make certain complete information has been obtained

  • Coordinate with Regional Claims Liaisons and team to identify correct policy year and coverage

  • Report loss to appropriate insurance carrier or third-party claims administrator

  • Set up internal file and create new claim in internal risk management information system (Origami)

  • Reports: Position will be responsible for assisting the Insurance Analyst with the development, processing, and distribution of internal and external reports.

  • Insurance Department Support and Interaction: The Insurance Department at PCG is a closely integrated team that provides support to all aspects of our company including Operations, Finance, Legal, Corporate Administration, Fleet, Strategic Development, and others. Cross-training in the other disciplines within our team is critical. Additional activities include:

  • Follow-up or assistance in managing claims activity.

  • Provide back-up for our Regional Claims Liaisons and Insurance Analyst

  • Process Medical Only Workers Compensation claims

  • Set up new clinics and monitor state requirements

  • Coordinate with our Managed Care vendors

  • Review all inbound department mail and correspondence for distribution

  • Insurance certificate requests

  • Review and maintenance of departmental information sharing sources (i.e. Box, SharePoint)

  • Other duties and projects as needed


Basic Requirements

  • Work authorization

Minimum Requirements

  • Must possess proficiency withMicrosoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel

  • Must possess proficient attention to detail

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines required

  • Ability to be flexible and multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Customer service skills – internal and external

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Local to Kansas City metro-area

  • Experience with Box, Origami or SharePoint a plus
