Job Description & Responsibilities
Position Requirements: Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials, fittings, and equipment within the commercial and industrial electrical construction industry. The Journeyman will perform under general supervision all aspects of installation, alteration, demolition, maintenance, and/or repair of electrical systems, raceways, conductors, assemblies, and associated materials and equipment on all types of projects within the electrical construction industry. The Journeyman will demonstrate the mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and literacy skills, commensurate to the satisfactory completion of the positions primary duties and responsibilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Ability to possess and demonstrate all the skills of a journeyman electrician. 2. Know and follow GBA Facility Services Safety Policies, and complete requirements on Weekly Toolbox Talks\". 3. Possess expertise, electrical theory, and knowledge to complete task assignments in all aspects of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems, methods of installation, safety procedures, safe work practices, calculations, hand sketch and blueprint interpretation, troubleshooting, and commissioning via verbal and/or written instruction. 4. Operate any and all hand tools, power tools, and equipment necessary to perform all trade associated assignments. 5. Effectively communicate with peers, subordinates, supervision, trade associates and when so designated customers and/or customer representatives. 6. Direct, monitor, and work alongside of employees assigned to assist you in timely, complete, safe, and quality installation of tasks Proven ability and desire to supervise employees on assigned projects.
