The Lab Associate Intern is part of the operational team within the Flow Cytometry analytical laboratory. The lab associate intern ensures the appropriate collection, processing, storage, and shipment of samples.
Are you interested in assisting in the day-to-day activities as an Intern for the Flow Cytometry analytical laboratory including responsibility for performing assays on samples for pharmaceutical and chemical companies?
The role:
Perform assays for the routine batch analysis of samples involving simple to complex analytical techniques.
Will apply processes and systems to routine sample processing and instrumental analysis.
Laboratory work completed to GMP/GLP standard.
Work in compliance with study plans, validation plans and all relevant SOP’s.
Document all work and results accurately, completely and follows GMP/GLP regulations and SOP’s.
Generate high quality analytical results.
Ensure smooth transfer of data to PIs and participate in evaluation and interpretation of data.
Operate general laboratory equipment and utilize Ella automated immunoassay platform
To be successful in the role, you will need:
Currently a Junior or Senior enrolled in an undergraduate program in Biology, Biomolecular science, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical science or a closely related science program
Experience working in a laboratory setting is beneficial but not required
Coursework that includes a laboratory setting, with a passion for Flow Cytometry is beneficial
Good organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
A positive attitude bringing excitement to be part of the evolution of medicine
Ability to work in a collaborative environment and willing to learn
Possess the ability to strategically pivot and or adjust rapidly to changing priorities fluidly
Read, write and speak Fluent English.
Availability to work full time
