CommunityAmerica Credit Union Manager- Consumer Loan Servicing in Lenexa, Kansas

This position is responsible for managing the daily operations and workflow of the Loan Servicing department and overseeing the strategies, implementation, and overall performance. Ensures that all systems, processes, procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements are in place. Supports a variety of servicing functions related to our consumer loan portfolio which is comprised of HELOC’s, auto loans, RV/Boat loans, and personal loans. Department functions include but are not limited to: processing payoffs, adding/releasing liens, scanning, filing, reporting, etc.

  • Provide daily coaching of staff members.

  • Coordinate and assist with the training of new hires.

  • Complete monthly staff assessments, and annual employee appraisals.

  • Develop, assess, and maintain production and accountability goals for each staff member.

  • Facilitate regular departmental and individual 1:1 meetings.

  • Vendor and support department management to determine requirements and systems necessary to provide efficient service and support.

  • Review current processes to determine what can be automated or streamlined within the department to assist in alleviating workload.

  • Subject matter expert for the duties addressed by the department.

  • Ability to assist in identifying redundant and complex tasks and providing a solution throughout the Consumer Lending department.

  • Promote honest and open communication throughout the credit union.

  • Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union’s values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics.

  • Work with other credit union departments to ensure the workflow or process is providing the best service to the members.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Four-year degree preferred with at least one year experience in a leadership role in a financial operations environment.

  • Five years of experience in a leadership role in a financial operations environment may substitute for degree.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of financial operations compliance regulations.

  • General financial operations knowledge consumer loan servicing, physical damage, and total loss claims.

  • Strong analytical abilities.

  • Demonstrated excellence in production, project management, planning and implementing new product rollouts.

  • Strong organization and strategic planning skills.

  • Strong written communication skills, demonstrated by samples of previously developed programs, procedures, or training materials.

  • Effective training and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to lead and motivate staff effectively.

  • Ability to monitor performance of others and provide coaching and feedback to achieve results.

  • Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effect change.

  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software and ability to use word processing software.

  • Must be able to be bonded.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
