CommunityAmerica Credit Union Manager- Member Experience Training in Lenexa, Kansas

The Manager- Member Experience Training contributes to the achievement of organization outcomes by leading, creating and facilitating high quality sales, service, compliance, credit union culture, member experience, and additional trainings that contribute to the development of employees within member-facing and member-interacting roles.

  • Partner with business unit leaders to align learning strategies and activities with business needs

  • Work directly with Director of Member Experience Support to stay aligned with Director of Employee Development on all learning and development projects in the pipeline organization-wide to determine priorities that support key business strategies and ensure consistency in training practices

  • Leads instructional design and development of all job skill and functional training courses and learnings, applies standardized processes and applies adult learning principles .

  • Leads the member experience training team, recruits new employees, develops the team to their full potential and holds team accountable for delivering excellent service and programs to employees.

  • Facilitate various training and development courses, as needed

  • Works closely with business partners to ensure all training materials are up to date with current processes and procedures.

  • Oversees administration of the Learning Management System

  • Assist the Director with the development and implementation of the various strategies and training programs for the organization

  • Works with compliance teams to ensure programs are launched to specific groups of employees and completed by required timeline

  • Manages and directs the working of frontline training team and ensure best in class training experiences

  • Work with other credit union departments to provide training support for credit union sales initiatives, technology implementations, and other special projects

  • Use appropriate technologies and adult learning techniques to design, coordinate, and facilitate various courses, as needed

  • Promote honest and open communication throughout the credit union

  • Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union’s values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or relted field preferred

  • 5+ years of training experience in a financial institution preferred

  • Previous management experience required

  • Previous instructional design experience required

  • NMLS certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to manage training projects and prioritize programs

  • Ability to assess needs of business units and align training & development activities to achieve organizational goals

  • Ability to project a high degree of professionalism and positive image of themselves and the credit union

  • Strong knowledge of effective training and facilitation techniques for adults

  • Professional presentation and communication skills in front of large and small groups

  • Strong ability to design and implement training courses

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively using correct grammar, both in writing and orally

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must be detail-oriented with ability to maintain and organize workloads

  • Ability to resolve problems, interpersonal conflict and miscommunications

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Must be able to be bonded
