The Solution Architecture Manager most importantly serves as the tactical arm of architecture team within Kiewit. In this role you will serve working with partners within Kiewit to move technology-based projects and efforts forward. Efforts also include supporting Citizen Development through the collaboration of our Application Development Center of Excellence. Your primary focus is to ensure high levels of customer service, collaboration, and outreach with those that consume your services. You will be able to set the direction for the team and its future development along with the responsibility of managing multiple direct reports.

This position will be based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.

Always moving forward. Constantly assess the services of the team and provide guidance and leadership when improvements are warranted
Ensure Solution Architecture’s services are timely, efficient, of high quality, and not an unwarranted bottleneck to the progress of the project
Enabling and developing team members to have the right discussions and thinking at the right level
Understands Kiewit’s policies, standards, and operating procedures and ensures the project team adheres to them when solutioning
Gather input from users, stakeholders, product teams to provide the best technology solutions to the business
Relationship building with your peers in the Project and Product organizations as well as leaders across Kiewit benefiting from Solution Architectures and Application Development CoE services
Responsible for the Architecture Review Board, its process, documentation, and oversight
Set clear and compelling vision for area’s services and associated strategies to achieve future goals
Foster growth and development of staff
Ability to develop people and practice responsibility and accountability
Challenge the status quo and provoke new ideas
Partner and gain buy-in of processes from service stakeholders and users to create better cohesion and clear communication throughout the organization
Provide guidance and drive cross-fun
Strategy & Vision
In conjunction with Kiewit Technology Group Architecture, develop technology standards and operating procedures where necessary
Seek out and continue learning about new and emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies that may arise within our technology platforms
5 years’ experience in an Information Technology role
3-5 years’ experience directly managing others
Experience facilitating strategy meetings and gaining group buy in
Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Able to evaluate and communicate risk and escalate issues to leadership when needed
Excellent organization and time management skills to keep tasks on track and on time
