Applied Materials Program Manager in Lenexa, Kansas
Ensures that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility, and that necessary preliminary activities (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion.
Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.
Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with Company policies regarding Engineering/Lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality and safety.
Ensures that the utilization of all material and financial resources is carried out in an effective manner.
Effectively work with other staff to maximize productivity for the project / program.
Spearheads research and development of new technologies, as appropriate, and ensures that newly created processes, designs, and/or methodologies are incorporated into Applied Materials products/services, and/or disseminated to other areas as needed.
Develops and manages documentation throughout all steps of the project life-cycle such as project charters, work breakdown structures, roles and responsibilities, procurement management plan, cost baseline, schedule baseline and critical path, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
Conducts stakeholder engagement assessments and manages stakeholder expectations in order to ensure all expectations are established and successfully met throughout the project.
Manages the Request for Proposal (RFP) process from beginning to end, including the scope definition, vendor screening, development of RFP document, source selection criteria, contract negotiations and execution of contractual agreements as required for a tool assessment and evaluation for future roadmap.
Proactively identify opportunities/risks/issues and successfully manages cross-functional teams throughout the organization and drive timely decision making.
Works closely with IT stakeholders to manage the development of a technical solution design, enterprise architecture and technical specifications including on premise and cloud solutions
Conducts regular presentations with Executive Sponsors and project teams regarding progress.
Forges successful relationships with the purchasing, finance and IT community to produce informed, effective software and process solutions with optimal user acceptance.
Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results
Completes special projects upon request.

Demonstrated Experience/familiarity with leading, developing and implementing Source to Contract and Source to Pay solutions centered around environments like SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua, Service Now, Tableau or similar On premise and Cloud systems a plus.
PMP Certification or equivalent credential preferred.
Bachelor's or Masters Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
10+ years of project management experience, delivering milestones on time and on budget with quality per customer expectations.
10+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
7+ years of previous experience with gathering requirements from the client / business and documentation
7+ years of experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle including but not limited to SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, etc.
Proficient knowledge in process mapping and other process analysis techniques.
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Expert level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint or similar tools with experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership
Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs
Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective
Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment
