Quality Inspector

Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for testing the quality of each die to ensure it accomplishes the job it was designed to complete successfully and up to top-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards.

  • Wear the proper and required safety equipment.

  • Be dependable and self-motivated.

  • Demonstrate a strong sense of accountability.

  • Urgently meet deadlines with keen attention to detail.

  • Perform simple addition and subtraction.

  • Navigate a computer competently.

  • Propose improvements to the production process.

  • Adapt to changes in the work environment.

  • Manage competing demands.

  • Stand and walk for the length of the shift.

  • Lift 5 to 10 pounds safely.

  • Use hands and arms in repetitive motion.

  • Be flexible with weekend work.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in Quality Assurance/Inspection within a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency with quality measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.

  • Competency in using measuring tools, calipers, blueprints, and micrometers.

  • Ability to perform visual inspections and quality control inspections.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility that is clean and organized. The position is for the 2nd shift, from 12:30 pm to 9 pm, with paid breaks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $22.80
