To perform analyses of varied healthcare data to evaluate program performance, utilization analysis and compliance using healthcare medical, pharmacy, lab, survey, and utilization data
Elicit business reporting requirements to design and create new reports and modify existing reports.
Designs and codes efficiently using SAS/SQL programs.
Extracts data from multiple sources, visualizes data, and creates integrated analytic datasets to meet business needs
Participates in presentations and consultations as a DSNP subject matter expert (SME) to internal and external constituents on information services, capabilities, and performance results to include multiple compliance and regulatory reports, for both CMS and for the State
Documents methods, specification’s, and findings clearly; contributes to writing and presentation of analysis, findings, and conclusions
Creates and evaluates the data needs of assigned projects and assures the integrity ofthe data for compliance for federal and regulatory reporting
Participates in the development of project plans and timelines
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Able to present information to various audiences
3+ years of relevant programming or analytic experience
Medicare Healthcare industry experience is preferred
Knowledge of other reporting platforms such as: Business Objects, Microsoft Access, web development technology, big data analytics, data mining, Visual Basic anddata warehouse environment
Knowledge of analytic programming tools and methods (SAS, SQL, OLAP, Business Objects, Crystal, Macros)
Strong knowledge of Medicare health care claims and Medicare benefits for utilization analysis
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in investigating, evaluating, and analyzing data to meet business needs for program enhancement and compliance
Education and Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Social Science, Healthcare or related discipline.
