Aston Carter Staff Accountant II in Lenexa, Kansas

Aston Carter is partnering with a reputable company in the Johnson County area that is looking to hire a Staff Accountant II. This position requires an accounting degree and a minimum of four years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably from a public accounting firm or a large company experience. Job Duties:

  • Reconcile sub-ledger accounts to general ledger for all companies.

  • Participate in month-end close process.

  • Journal entries and other general accounting.

  • Research and analytical problem solving.

  • Be detail oriented, reliable, and well organized.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

  • Respond to Branch inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Prepare summary financial information and ad hoc reporting to management as needed.

  • Possess good computer skills and demonstrate the ability to learn new computer functionality.

  • Work well with others through all methods of communication.

  • External audit assistance and preparation of schedules.

  • Special projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or Master's Degree in Accounting required

  • 3+ years experience in accounting required

  • CPA highly preferred

  • Public accounting experience OR experience working for a large company

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $84000.00 - $84000.00

ESOP after 1 year of employmentEmployees are able to contribute 13% of salary to 401K 20-25 days of annual PTO

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Lenexa,KS.
