Survey Project Manager Lenexa, KS

GBA is seeking a qualified Survey Project Manager in our Lenexa, KS office. This person will effectively lead and manage survey projects to ensure quality performance by the project team. Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop survey projects and processes in our Lenexa, KS office
  • Scheduling, budgeting, and billing with the assistance of an administrative assistant
  • Help develop the capabilities and capacity of the group
  • Help plan resource and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal and external clients
  • Help build and maintain business relationships with existing and new clients
  • Execute projects on-time and in budget while meeting and/or exceeding customers expectations
  • Knowledge and ability to prepare rights-of-way, easement, and dedication documents
  • Utilize MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D on engineering design, topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS, Plats and easement surveys.
  • Existing surface creation in CAD to depict an accurate representation of field conditions
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Proven effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Survey project management experience
  • At least 10 years of experience
  • Working knowledge of survey systems and equipment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of Trimble, Autodesk Civil 3D, and MicroStation
  • Interpret record documents and accurately represent them in a CAD environment
  • Communicate with internal staff effectively to gather all information needed for the drafting of survey related data
  • Strong ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) experience is a plus
  • Professional Land Surveyor license is a plus
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and Geopak a plus
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
