The Systems Engineering & Operations (SEO) team is seeking a Systems Administrator to join their growing team. This team supports the entire server lifecycle including provisioning, deployment, support, and end of life, systems management, configuration management, platforms management (Azure, SaaS based apps, etc.) as well as assists with process automation. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and within the team. They will continuously look for ways to improve processes and enjoy learning new technology while effectively managing their time by prioritizing assignments.

This position will be filled to work at the following Jack Henry office locations: Lenexa, KS, Elizabethtown, KY, Springfield, MO, Houston, TX, or Remotely within the U.S.

The target salary range for this position is $44,000 - $65,000, based on location and experience.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows-based systems both physical and virtual.

  • Implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer and internally-reported system problems.

  • Document and implement system procedures, policies, and events.

  • Participate in on-call 24x7 support rotation.

  • Manage data access and data permissions.

  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to have:

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in a technical support or System Administrator role.

  • Ability to participate in 24/7 on call rotation.

  • Ability to travel up to 15% to attend JHA meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.

  • Experience using scripting languages.

  • Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux based environments.

  • Experience with Public and Hybrid cloud environments including Azure, AWS or GPC.
