UnitedHealth Group Therapy Manager, Infusion - Telecommute in Lenexa, Kansas

The Therapy Manager will be a key role within Specialty and Infusion and a liaison with client management, sales, finance, pricing teams and executive leadership in the identification and support of growth opportunities. This position is responsible for tracking market trends, leading development and management of new product initiatives and creating strategies that drive efficiency, improve quality and result in positive patient experiences and outcomes. This position collaborates cross-functionally to establish product standards and ensure product profitability. The Therapy Manager is a subject matter expert in terms of product capabilities, market competition, customer value proposition and product financials.

The Therapy Manager, Infusion is responsible for development/execution of go-to-market strategies, and the commercial success of our Acute and Nutrition therapies within the Infusion Pharmacy business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops strategy and plan of action for the Acute and Nutrition therapies and business unit

  • Owns the growth strategies for the line of business including oversight of analysis, identification of opportunities and leveraging matrix partners to execute on projects

  • Develops and trains on therapy-level differentiators

  • Assesses market trends and competitor information as well as positioning in market to identify a competitive advantage for the business

  • Defines business case including sales projections; monitors progress against plan and makes adjustments to ensure targets are met

  • Monitors and utilizes resources to develop new strategies - industry trends, product forecasts, competitive intelligence, headwinds/tailwinds

  • Analyzes market size, market segmentation, prospective customers and buyers of products and services

  • Launches strategies that maximize therapy opportunities (playbooks, messaging, targeting, metrics)

  • Conceptualizes and executes novel customer engagement tools and programs

  • Assesses internal process flows and recommends improvements to drive efficiency, improve quality and facilitate development of effective clinical solutions

  • Collaborates with peer Therapy Managers and works cross-functionally to drive new product and service innovation

  • Understands direct and indirect costs and product line profitability for products and services

  • Documents customer insights generated from focus groups, surveys, field rides, conferences

  • Understands customer feedback (NPS scores), market trends and other industry data to proactively identify new opportunities or make adjustments to product plans

  • Develops relationships with key stakeholders (including but not limited to client management, finance, pricing and executive leadership) and represents the organization at conferences, trade shows and other industry forums

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations

  • Demonstrates ability to effectively interact and cooperate with all company employees

  • Builds trust, values others, communicates effectively, drives execution, fosters innovation, focuses on the customer, collaborates with others, solves problems creatively and demonstrates high integrity

  • Complies with all company and government policies, regulations and business ethics codes and ensures they are communicated and implemented within the team

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience

  • 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, product development, finance, operations, clinical or marketing within either infusion therapy or specialty pharmacy industries

  • Experience with clinical and/or patient-facing solutions

  • Knowledge of clinical work processes

  • Knowledge of sales and account management processes

  • Demonstrated strategic focus combined with operational, analytical and project management skills

  • Proficient skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically as required

  • You will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's US Telecommuting Policy.
