job summary:
Growing company in Liberal, KS is seeking a Quality Manager to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have previous management experience in steel manufacturing and Quality. Detailed knowledge of API and ISO 9001 standards required, as well as the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Bachelor's degree preferred. Excellent bonus opportunity and relocation!

responsibilities:
Implement and manage quality systems to ensure continuous production of products consistent with customer specifications
Supervise and manage field repair operations.
Investigate and assist in the correction of customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with the Director of Manufacturing to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within the Company.
Provide and oversee inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
Interacts with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.
Directs test functions and applications.
Maintain active role on internal Continuous Improvement teams.
Requirements:
B.S. preferred
At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing
Previous Steel manufacturing experience
At least 1-2 years of management or supervisory experience in Quality
Detailed knowledge of API and ISO 9001 standards
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications required
Ability to utilize quality engineering methods in inspection
bilingual Spanish a plus
Must be open to some regional travel, less than 25% to visit other plant
