Duties may include: Workers will be expected to perform all ordinary and usual duties associated with operating a 4,000 acre row crop operation such as plant, spray, weed, fertilize, water, and harvest crops. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment, adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions, operate towed machines to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops, drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools. Perform routine maintenance on farm equipment, & other related Farm Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work.
The employer will furnish cooking facilities, utilities, and utensils for workers to prepare their own meals in the housing provided kitchen. Included basic appliances will consist of, but is not limited to, refrigerator, stove/oven, and sink with hot and cold-water connections. All appliances included will be in good, working condition for the workers. Employer will provide transportation to grocery store at least once a week for workers who wish to shop for food.
The employer will provide transportation between the housing provided or secured by the employer and the employers work site at no cost to the worker. All employer-provided transportation will comply with all applicable local, State, or Federal laws and regulations, and will provide, at a minimum, the same transportation safety standards, driver licensure, and vehicle insurance as required under 29 U.S.C. 1841, 29 CFR 500.104 or 500.105, and 29 CFR 500.120 through 500.128.
