Summary
The machine operator operates and maintains multiple Davenport Automatic Screw Machines.
Responsibilities
Operates multiple Davenport Automatic Screw Machine Chuckers, running one dedicated part
Performs tool changes to maintain efficient production and specified quality standards
Loads parts into feeder system
Performs machine adjustments, such as clutches and chucks
Adjusts tool holders and attachments as required
Regulates oil and removes all chips
Keeps machines and work area clean and orderly
Maintains parts washing equipment
Reports material shortages
Troubleshoots tooling and machine problems, offers solutions
Observes all safety rules
Support team objectives
Is actively engaged in all safety & quality programs
Desired Experience
Capable of performing all operations and light maintenance on assigned Davenport Automatic Screw Machines with minimal instructions or supervision
Strong mechanical aptitude
Able to work in team-based environment
Forklift qualified
Must have strong understanding of mechanical components and how they work
2-4 year of machines operating experience
Must be able to train on 1stshift, with flexibility to work off shifts after training is complete
High school diploma or equivalent
Education/training required
High School Diploma or equivalent
