School Nurses promote overall health and well-being and work to minimize absences due to illness. We are seeking experienced nurses who can fill in when a full-time nurse is not available. Along with traditional school nurses, there are also nurses dedicated to caring for students with special needs such those with feeding tubes.\ \ A Day in the Life:
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Assess health concerns
- Communicate appropriate health information to staff, parents, and physicians
- Respond to life saving situations
- Assist with school health services such as vision, hearing, and dental screenings
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with district, state and federal laws
- Performs other duties as assigned in order to ensure an effective, orderly, and safe environment
