Description The Maize Special Education Cooperative is seeking candidates for anticipated openings for the
2024-2025 academic year. These candidates should have a Low Incidence endorsement or be
interested in obtaining the endorsement. The anticipated openings are in Structured Learning
and Functional Applied Academic classrooms.
Licensed teachers enrolled in aMaster\'s in Low Incidence Disabilities degree program may be
eligible to work under a waiver whilecompleting the degree. Tuition reimbursement is
available.
Low incidence teachers also receive additional compensation based on classroom type, four
days out of the classroom to focus on IEPs, access to instructional coaches,
andfocusedmentoring.
Maize has a lot to offer teachers new to the district and those new to the profession. All new
teachers are matched with a qualified mentor and both the mentor and mentee are supported
by our team of Student Support Specialists and Instructional Coaches. New teachers also
participate in 8 half day professional development opportunities throughout the school year.
Our teachers are encouraged to continue to learn and grow. We offer a professional learning
series that qualifies for college credits.
Safe and well-maintained facilities are another great feature found in the Maize district. The
intermediate, middle, and high schools all have school resource officers, and all schools have
physical safety features built in. The two intermediate schools are in their second year and
were designed to allow amazing collaboration. The district also recently opened an aquatic and
performing arts center that houses our staff workout facility.
MaizeUSD 266 and the Renwick USD 267 work cooperatively to servestudents receiving special
services.
