Operating over 10 counties in North-Central Kansas, we provide a full range of psychotherapy, crisis, medication management, and substance abuse recovery services to over 7000 adults, adolescents, and children every year. The Role You Play

As a Community-Based Therapist at Pawnee, you will meet the needs of children ages 4-18 with Severe Emotional Disturbances and adults with an SPMI diagnosis who have various barriers to receiving treatment in a traditional setting. You will provide therapy in-home, as well as help coordinate other services for the clients. This position is also responsible for sitting in on diagnosis updates, treatment planning, and other duties which require a QMHP sign-off.

  • The Day-to-Day
    1. Provide in-home therapy to children and adults with barriers to in-office visits, such as transportation or family systems barriers
    2. Develop and document treatment goals and plans, in coordination with the family and members of the treatment team
    3. Cultivate contacts with community partners for the betterment of the client\'s wellfare
    4. Provide resources and education to the client and their family about their condition
    5. Complete SED waiver assessments for Same-Day Access intakes when needed
  • Other Duties as Assigned
    1. Maintain continuing education and regular training events
    2. Act as a community advocate for those with mental health issues or severe emotional disorders
