About This Role:
*FACILITY CUSTODIAN: *K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for a Facility Custodian position which is a local agency, full-time, benefits-eligible position with paid overtime that will provide routine cleaning and supportive custodial services for our facilities and events.
Shift: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday
Evening and weekend hours will be required as needed
An example of duties include but are not limited to:
- Supervise students and part-time employees on your crew
- Clean offices, media work areas, dressing/locker rooms, storage/work areas, suites, dining areas, restrooms, showers, hallways, stairs, elevators, entrances
- Floor maintenance
- Clean exterior entrances, walkways and handicap ramps, including sweeping and removing and/or treating ice/snow

What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience performing custodial tasks in a commercial setting requiring specific cleaning and sanitation procedures
Other Requirements:
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
- Knowledge of a wide variety of cleaning chemicals, their uses/purposes, mixes and safety issues. Ability to understand MSDS sheets for all chemicals to avoid injury to self, others, and equipment it is used with
- Ability to successfully supervise students and part time employees
- Must be punctual, dependable, and follow departmental policies
- Must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English
- Must be available to work evenings or weekends when required
- Must have a valid driver's license at all times

Salary Rate / Pay Rate:
$ 12.75 per hour // $26,520.00 base annual salary with paid overtime
