The successful candidate will analyze and assess the spatial distribution of CRP in Kansas and the Great Plains. Analyze the potential soil carbon sequestration linked with soil type, climate, and yield potential. Determine the vulnerability of conversion to cultivated agriculture and synergy with adjacent grasslands with critical wildlife habitat. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting research and drafting publications for technical reports, and scientific journals. - Ph.D. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Soil Science, Geography, or closely related discipline.
\ Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with soil carbon modeling, geospatial analysis, and statistical analyses.
- Demonstrated excellence in coursework, good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work as a team member.
