Position Summary:

We are hiring for a customer-focused, quality assurance-driven, and collaborativeOperations Supervisorto join our team! The ideal candidate will be able to learn company technologies quickly, be an effective communicator, and have a passion to be a team lead to a staff of four dispatchers. TheOperations Supervisorposition is an mid-level management role focused on ensuring the team provides the highest customer service experience. Additionally, this role is focused on overseeing the performance of fixed routes, ADA paratransit, and general demand response public transportation.

What you will be doing:

Supervise a Team:

  • Provide day-to-day supervision to the Dispatch department by creating and managing work schedules and organizing the teams workload to meet deadlines.
  • Review and assess the ongoing performance of team members by identifying strengths and interests to delegate work effectively; and provide training, coaching, and corrective action as needed.
  • Manage department goals and ensure staffing aligns with business needs.
  • Demonstrate a personal sense of continuous improvement, professional standards, and accountability as an example to the Dispatch team.

Technology:

  • Maintain data integrity in the dispatching program by running reports and reviewing them for accuracy.
  • Give insight into the data in the dispatching program by responding to questions about the data and identifying and resolving differences.
  • Operate various communications equipment, including two-way radio, telephone, computer-aided dispatching, and automatic vehicle location systems (CAD/AVL).

Customer-Focus:

  • Resolve and respond to escalated customer and team inquiries and complaints promptly.
  • Effectively and regularly communicate with Management, the Dispatch team, Bus Operators, Mechanics, passengers, and the public.
  • Build trusting and collaborative relationships with internal teams and customers.

Additional Information:

The job is a safety sensitive position and is subject to ongoing random drug and alcohol screening.
