Job Openings Part-time Positions Police Response Advocates On-Call (Junction City)
The Crisis Center, Inc. is currently hiring for the day shift for the Junction CityPolice Response Advocate (PRA) Program provides prompt, skilled responses to domestic violence crime scenes in collaboration with the police department. PRAs provide victims with on-scene crisis intervention and safety planning.
Specific Duties:
- Respond immediately to domestic violence crime scenes when called by dispatch/ law enforcement during shift.
- Provide on-scene crisis intervention and safety planning services to victims.
- Complete required documentation and deliver to PRA Coordinator.
- Attend quarterly PRA meetings.
- Assist with other dutiesas assigned during shift.
Requirements: Ability to work with diverse populations in a non-judgmental and professional manner; ability to remain calm during crisis or emergency situations; ability to maintain strict confidentiality; successful completion of required training and PRA shift shadowing; ability to follow agency ethics, policies, and procedures. Must have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license, and insurance at all times. Must be able to pass criminal and child abuse background checks.
Shifts & Compensation: This is a paid volunteer position of The Crisis Center, Inc. The On-Call PRA is compensated with a per shift stipend and mileage reimbursement. Available PRA shifts are Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Compensation is \$55/ shift, \$80/ holiday shift. All PRAs are expected to perform some on-call on weekends and holidays, and be scheduled at least four shifts per pay period (15 days). Mileage is reimbursed at .56 cents/ mile.
