Police Response Advocates (PRAs) are on-call to respond to domestic violence scenes alongside law enforcement. PRAs meet with survivors of domestic violence to assist in safety planning and crisis intervention.
PRA shifts are 5pm-8am, Monday-Friday; and 8am-5pm and 5pm-8am Saturday and Sunday. Scheduling is flexible and based on your availability.
PRAs must be willing to work at least 4 shifts per pay period (every 15 days), work some weekend and holiday shifts, have reliable transportation, and pass a background check.
PRAs are able to go about their day/night as long as they stay in town and are able to respond promptly to a call. The number of calls each shift varies greatly some shifts there are no calls and others there may be 3 5 calls.
The PRA On-Call is compensated with a per shift stipend and mileage reimbursement. This is a compensated volunteer position of The Crisis Center, Inc.
Pay: \$55/shift, \$80/shift for holidays
