Kansas State University Program/Project Coordinator in Manhattan, Kansas

About This Role: The College of Education seeks a program coordinator to support research and program activities. This position supports faculty in proposal submission and resubmission, including working with faculty to assemble and assist in writing sections of the proposal and coordinating between team members so that the proposal is submitted on schedule via internal and external portals. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Research and External Funding, the position will work in conjunction with college leadership to identify and prioritize research opportunities in support of strategic initiatives, objectives, and goals. The candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented and deadline-driven with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities. Duties and responsibilities for the position include: * Assist in collecting and preparing support documents such as letters of support, bio sketches and other related materials during the pre-award process. * Ensure timely and accurate data entry in systems for recording and tracking grant proposals awards and related statistical information. * Maintain a library of reference documentation, such as funding agency requirements and forms, investigator profiles and curriculum vitae, abstracts and reference literature, and other pertinent material. * Prepare proposal development guides as needed, including checklists and timelines. * Provide writing and editing support and project management assistance/expertise to faculty and proposal teams in the college. * Work with the Grant Specialist to support the development of proposal budgets and modifications. * Collaborate with various departments and units throughout the proposal development process and post-award stage. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in closely related field appropriate to area of assignment AND three to five years of experience in technical or grant writing, editing or publishing; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. * Demonstrated knowledge of project management practices and methods. * Experience writing and submitting grant proposals to various types of sponsors, i.e., federal or state agencies, foundations, etc. * Demonstrated knowledge of research and evaluation methods. * Demonstrated fluency in relevant technology/platforms (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google docs, file sharing services, funding opportunity databases, and survey platforms, etc.) * Experience prioritizing and organizing projects to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner and meet deadlines. * Experience in critical thinking and problem solving. * Experience working in the field of education, such as in a K-12 context/setting. * Demonstrated knowledge of editing rules and guidelines (e.g., APA) * Demonstrated ability to work independently, as a self-starter, and collaboratively as part of a team * Other Requirements:* * Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment How to Apply: Please submit the following documents: 1.
