\ \ Recruitment Coordinator\ \ Department: 3670080010 Vet Med Center Dean of\ Job no: 517009\ Employment type: Staff Full Time (Unclassified - Term)\ Location: Manhattan, Kansas\ Worksite: On-site requirement\ Categories: Academic Advising / Support, Administrative / Professional, Business / Accounting / Finance, Human Resources, Veterinary Medicine\ Pay Grade: 09A\ \ \ About This Role:\ The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) Admissions Office is seeking a Recruitment Coordinator who reports directly to the Assistant Dean of Admissions. Primary responsibilities include coordination and implementation of programs and activities related to relationship building and recruitment of prospective students for the DVM program. This position will also assist in the development of the College Recruitment Plan and identify marketing and recruitment opportunities to promote quality, diversity, and inclusiveness within the student body. Travel within and outside of Kansas is required.\ \ Responsibilities include:\ \ Define, coordinate and implement CVM annual recruitment strategy\ \

Manage full recruitment cycle - sourcing and assessing students in the DVM program.\ \

Meet with college leadership and designated faculty to review criteria to be used in identifying qualified students and establishing communication plans to reach out and encourage those students to apply to the DVM program.\ \

Serve as the liaison for prospective DVM students.\ \

Establish recruitment visits, marketing materials, related social media, and prospective student communication efforts.\ \

Assist prospective students, both in person, and at a distance, in the decision-making, application, and enrollment process.\ \

Review candidate credentials and resumes, conduct preliminary interviews to ensure candidates meet and fulfill the criteria to be successful in the program.\ \

Capture and manage data in the recruitment cycle on prospective students, applicants, and admitted students.\ \ Recruitment of prospective students\ \

Make college visits, attend health professions career fairs, and other events where a recruitment presence is appropriate.\ \

Meet with pre-veterinary clubs in person and virtually around the state and country for recruiting purposes.\ \

Develop and manage new and innovative special events and recruitment activities that create a greater recruitment impact.\ \

Establish relationships with organizations and communities to bolster recruitment from underrepresented communities.\ \

Network and cultivate relationships with undergraduate pre-veterinary advisors and other partners on campus, across the state and across the country.\ \

Respond to inquiries from prospective students using, but not limited to, telephone, email, and social media/online chat.\ \

Coordinate Early Admission program events including induction and annual activities.\ \

Create and host an admitted student event each spring. This event is intended as an additional recruiting effort for students who have received offers to enter the DVM program.\ \

Conduct file reviews each year for unsuccessful applicants.\ \ Direct and manage College Ambassador Program\ \

Recruit and hire ambassadors for the CVM (65-70 ambassadors annually).\ \

Manage ambassador schedules for events and activities that ambassadors are expected to participate in throughout the academic year.\ \

Create and manage ambassador training yearly. Conduct staff meetings monthly with all ambassadors.\ \

Analyze and adjust the ambassador program annually by gathering input from faculty, alumni, and other stakeholders involved in activities/events throughout the year.\ \

Manage ambassador work schedules during student interview processes (approximately 2 0 shifts over a six day period).\ \ Data Analysis and Reporting\ \

Develop, analyze, interpret and distribute reports from recruitment data to Dean, Associate Deans, and Admissions Committee. Use data to modify recruitment strategies as needed/appropriate.\ \

Use data and reports to maintain and/or modify strategies for a strong national recruitment program for the KSU DVM program.\ \ Grant Management - Summer Program for Aspiring Rural Kansas Veterinarians (SPARK) and Specialized Programs for the Recruitment of Indigenous, Native and Tribal Students (SPRINTS) grants\ \
