rAbout This Role:

The K-State Sorghum Genetics and Molecular Breeding program is looking to fill the position of project manager for the STRAIT-KIN coordinated innovation network. The position will be working to communicate and coordinate between US sorghum genetic and breeding researchers in academia with the US breeding and seed system commercial programs from genetic traits of interest. The position will require understanding of sorghum genetics and the US commercial hybrid production system and market.

What You\'ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Doctor of philosophy or veterinary medicine and three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working in sorghum improvement
• Graduate degree in plant genetics or plant breeding
• Familiarity with the US hybrid sorghum production system
• Excellent communication skills

Other Requirements:

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.

\$64,709 - \$74,584/year
