This job was posted by https://www.kansasworks.com : For more information, please see: https://www.kansasworks.com/ada/r/jobs/10819471 The Liu laboratory in the Plant Pathology department at Kansas State University seeks a highly motivated candidate interested in research projects related to wheat rust diseases (yellow leaf rust). The ideal candidate is expected to have excellent technical skills in wheat disease phenotyping and plant genotyping. Specifically, the candidate is preferred to have laboratory experience and knowledge in wheat genetics and genomics, genetic mapping and gene cloning. The person will be responsible for: design/perform genetic and molecular experiments; generate next-gen sequencing data; work with team members in bioinformatics to mine genomics data to develop biological hypotheses; testing hypothesis via experiments; preparing manuscripts for publication.
