Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
Perform basic activities for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment by following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, and measuring and testing instruments. This is an entry-level position that operates under the guidance of supervisors and higher-level technicians.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment according to checklists provided by service manuals and the scheduled maintenance program.
Conduct periodic inspections and complete preventive maintenance requirements, identifying and repairing or replacing faulty parts.
Install or assist with the installation of new equipment and ensure it runs according to manufacturer specifications.
Receive work order requests for repairing machines and equipment, determining priority and schedule of repairs.
Operate basic power tools to accomplish the installation of new or converted equipment and machinery.
Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors and/or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems.
Assist in dismantling defective machines and equipment and installing new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
Perform 6S activities to organize and manage workstations.
Confirm hours per work order using SAP Plant Maintenance.
Attend meetings as required and/or assigned.
Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
Comply with safety rules, use common sense in performing job functions, report any work injury/illness, and report unsafe conditions.
Essential Skills
Knowledge of computer programs to pull and complete PMs and work orders.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, manuals, blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose machine problems.
Strong troubleshooting skills using test instruments.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize work schedule.
Ability to perform with superior service, reflecting a positive company image while sustaining a positive attitude with those you interact with.
Ability to adhere to the highest standards of quality while continually performing at the highest possible level.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Understanding of 480V 3 Phase systems.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $56160.00/hr.
