Description
A PC Technician with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues is wanted at Robert Half. The short-term contract / temporary PC Technician will work in the Mcpherson, Kansas, area.
What you get to do every single day:
Track equipment inventory, and suggest and assist with purchases
Transfer data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix
Install printers, troubleshoot problems and make repairs
Collaborate to test functionality and provide end user support
Handle disassembly, boxing, movement and setup/installation on site
Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
Break down, box and ship old equipment
Coordinate with the appropriate vendors to arrange repairs
Take responsibility for technology implementation projects and carry them out
Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish a variety of computer hardware, including PCs, laptops, monitors, servers and other IT equipment
Provide documentation of daily data communication transactions, issues and repairs made or installation activities
Manage imaging and preparation for new computers
Ensure the integrity of all electronic data records by following company quality standards
Requirements - Less than one year of experience required
CompTIA A+ certification required
Application Installations experience
Deep understanding of PC Hardware
Comprehensive knowledge of MS Windows 10
Command of Laptop Hardware
Great attention to detail
Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments
