Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
As a Warehouse Worker, you will be proficient in receiving, sorting, staging, replenishment, putaway, picking, packing, cycle counting, and shipping. You will manage both SAP and the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring high productivity and quality. You will assist team members, remain flexible to changing tasks, and resolve inventory and customer order issues. Proficiency in material handling equipment is required.
Responsibilities
Determine daily work schedule via work board instructions and supervisor direction.
Perform equipment inspections and complete proper documentation before operation.
Unload shipments from trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks and separate shipments.
Perform a 3-way match to validate product part numbers and quantities.
Input information into SAP and WMS accurately.
Transport pallets to designated storage and staging locations using forklifts or reach trucks.
Identify, research, and resolve discrepancies using WMS and other resources.
Replenish products by scanning containers and transporting pallets to storage locations.
Pick inventory using RF guns, pack items, and prepare them for shipping.
Consolidate pallets for multiple orders to reduce shipping costs.
Ensure shipments are properly packed and loaded onto trucks according to bills of lading.
Participate in daily cycle counting to maintain inventory accuracy.
Maintain individual process performance and strive to reduce order throughput time.
Ensure facility and equipment checklists are maintained and perform 5S activities.
Proactively control damage and communicate potential problems to supervisors.
Maintain accurate inventory levels and resolve discrepancies.
Focus on quality improvement and ensure orders are correct and on time.
Assist team members and perform other duties as required.
Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety guidelines.
Essential Skills
Accurate counting and math skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, SAP.
Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and warehouse management systems.
Ability to adhere to quality standards and procedures.
Ability to operate material handling equipment.
Ability to lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or more.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to perform with superior service.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of warehouse experience.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and SAP Receiving.
Cycle counting experience.
Certification in material handling equipment.
5S and Lean experience preferred.

Work Environment
The work environment includes a distribution center and an extension of the plastics production plant, which is not climate controlled. You will work in a fast-paced setting, performing manual labor tasks such as packaging boxes and order picking. The role requires adherence to safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and equipment use.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcpherson, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00
