Synchrony VP - PayPal Partnerships in MERRIAM, Kansas
The VP - PayPal Partnerships will be responsible for leading driving growth with the eBay portfolio, as well as leveraging our external partnerships to support strategic programs across the PayPal family of products. The successful leader will establish a strong and productive partnership with PayPal and eBay to achieve product goals. The VP - PayPal Partnerships will develop, execute, and manage the marketing plan from acquiring new accounts through lifecycle, while successfully gaining alignment with PayPal and eBay.
Develop annual marketing growth plan, monitor, and accurately forecast growth drivers for multiple eBay cobrand and PPC initiatives for eBay
Support product strategy and value proposition design, including customer research, testing, development, and launch
Collaborate and influence partners, willingly challenging the status quo and influence PayPal and eBay to change direction when needed
Deliver creative and innovative solutions that fit with eBay’s brand, while achieving the program’s growth goals
Ability to identify, prioritize, and gain alignment around marketing and eBay credit product strategies
Leverage SYF, eBay, PayPal, and external resources to manage development of digital assets, research plans, and marketing collateral
Collaborate and partner with eBay Marketing Manager to ensure flawless execution of acquisition, digital and lifecycle marketing campaigns
Work with Product Owners and UI designers across PayPal, eBay and Synchrony on solution development and user testing and representing the customer experience
Actively participate in product requirements and product validations, and serve as the key connection between our internal and external product development teams and our customers/partners
Effectively partner and communicate across functions at all levels of the organization at SYF
Ability to optimize marketing strategies around profitability goals, including understanding of how top-line drivers flow through the P&L
Participate in cross- functional product, channel, and customer experience IT builds to support various growth initiatives
Drive the internal PAR process and manage program spend within contractual obligations of the eBay marketing fund, including budget tracking, invoice processing & monthly reconciliation for specific marketing programs and special initiatives
Ensure compliance with all internal & partner legal and regulatory requirements
Maintain a strong understanding of competitor products and experiences and find opportunities to continue to enhance customer experience
Perform other duties and/or PayPal projects as assigned
Location: This is a remote opportunity that can work within 65 miles of any Synchrony Hub location. However, the preferred location would be remote Timonium, MD.
Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 9+ years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries to include:
5+ years of marketing experience with critical experiences in amongst others: marketing analysis, product design and strategic planning and analysis
5+ years of strategic partner program experience, preferably in credit card or financial services
Ability to travel up to 15% once it is deemed safe

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. The salary range for this position is 85,000.00 - 170,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
