Kforce Project Manager in Mission, Kansas

Kforce is looking for a Project Manager for a contract opportunity with a large client in the Shawnee Mission, KS area.Summary:The Project Manager will handle day-today project related activities and support business analysis expertise across the entire suite of IT project initiatives. The Project Manager will work within the standards for project management in accordance with generally accepted industry methodologies and be responsible for planning, manage execution and delivery of the IT projects in accordance with predetermined timelines and budgets, define tasks, allocate and assign resources, track, and report on status. The role involves managing project teams, reporting to the project sponsor, and ensuring quality control throughout project lifecycle. In addition, the role involves gathering business requirements from project stakeholders and end users, reviewing analytic results with users analyzing data and verifying the implementation of business roles.Responsibilities: * Project Manager will work with the project sponsor and key stakeholders to clearly outline project scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and schedule * Manage project development from initiation to closure with accountability for project results * Complete work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each project task * Clearly communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders * Resolve issues, mitigate risks, and solve problems throughout project life cycle * Effectively manage project scope by ensuring changes are documented and approved * Track and report on project milestones and provide timely status reports * Lead, coach and motivate project team members on a proactive basis * Establish and manage prioritization, resource utilization and scheduling * As a Project Manager, you will assist in the development use cases and conduct usability studies where appropriate and necessary * PMP Certification or equivalent experience * Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills * Ability to analyze user requirements and identify solutions according to specifications * Well versed in project management methodologies, concepts, lifecycles, and common deliverables * Strong analytical, conceptual, problem-solving and communication skills * Able to learn new concepts and skills quickly * Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment * Exhibit sound and detailed judgment and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Experience capturing business and functional requirements * Experience with infrastructure and software development projects * Experience with a variety of project and portfolio tools and controls * Familiar with methodologies and tool sets compatible with project management * Demonstrated ability to multitask * Project management experience in manufacturing company Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
