Our client in the Automotive Software space is looking to bring on a Software Test Engineer II for a remote opportunity.

The Software Test Engineers are energetic influencers who thrive on designing simple and scalable solutions to complex problems and delivering leading-edge software products for their customers. They are looking for exceptionally ambitious and communicative hands-on individuals who are comfortable collaborating within the Agile methodology as part of a cross-functional team, have experience working in fast-paced environments, and who have the passion and skills to take their product offerings to the next level.

As a member of the Engineering organization, the Software Test Engineer will serve a critical role on a product development scrum team whose mission is to deliver high-quality software that provides real value to their clients. Your primary role on the team is to uphold and improve quality through testing. As a member of a cross-functional, self-organizing, collaborative team, you will also contribute to the codebase and builds. You will be on a team that is responsible for both new product development and feature enhancements of existing products.

responsibilities:

  • Consult with engineers on software and system design that facilitates test automation strategies and adheres to best practices for programming practices

  • Design and Build automation tests to test backend APIs

  • Design and Build automation tests to test front end UI's

  • Develop efficient and thorough test plans. Conduct sprint testing using exploratory, functional test cases and regressions (manual and automated) methods.

  • Develop and reinforce testing methods, procedures for measuring product quality, and determining release readiness.

  • Collaborate with scrum team developers to develop new features.

  • Contribute to the success of the scrum team through active and collaborative participation in sprint planning, daily scrums, and sprint retrospectives.

  • Enhance, extend, and maintain test automation libraries and frameworks.

  • Solve complex automation challenges and work on complex projects with minimal supervision

  • Design and develop automated unit, functional, regression and performance test programs or scripts based on libraries of reusable test code modules or functions.

  • Work with your team to establish and promote best practices, standards, and processes for automation testing.

  • Help build and maintain our applications in your team's environments.

qualifications:

  • Experience level: Experienced

  • Minimum 3 years of experience

  • Education: Bachelors (required)

skills:

  • Selenium (3 years of experience is required)

  • C# (3 years of experience is required)

  • CI/CD (3 years of experience is required)

  • Object Oriented Design (3 years of experience is required)

  • React (3 years of experience is preferred)
