Job Title: Automotive Upfitter @ $20-25/hr
Job Description
Mechanical assemblers will be upfitting and making custom build trucks, as well as repairing hydraulics, electrical wiring, custom-built rear ends, and custom-built beds for trucks. These trucks will be used on train tracks and require a high degree of mechanical skill, as most of the custom builds and assembly are done by interpreting blueprints and schematics.
Responsibilities
Upfitting and assembling custom-built trucks.
Repairing hydraulics and electrical wiring.
Interpreting blueprints and schematics for custom builds.
Installing and repairing custom-built rear ends and beds for trucks.
Ensuring all assemblies meet safety and operational standards.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in mechanical assembly.
Experience with engine repair and diesel engine repair.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and schematics.
Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems.
Must own a majority of required tools (e.g., sockets, Torx sockets, universal joints, toolbox or roller cart, test/work light, air impact wrenches, screwdrivers).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing, electrical assembly, and wiring.
Experience with hand and power tools.
General labor experience in mechanics and diesel mechanics.
Ability to strip wires and install pumps.

Work Environment
The work environment is similar to a garage setting, akin to a local Jiffy Lube or mechanic shop but with large semi-tractors and Ford F-550s. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional overtime as needed.
