MIRROR Director of Treatment Services in Newton, Kansas

Under the administrative supervision of the Vice President of Treatment Services, the Director of Treatment Services is responsible for the planning, direction, coordination, and overseeing of operational activities of specific departments within the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. The Director of Treatment Services shall operate in accordance with the policies set forth by the Board of Directors and shall abide by all applicable laws and regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides oversight and supervision of designated Mirror treatment programs. Ensures that these programs are appropriately staffed and resourced.

  • Supports facility directors in community resource services, grants and policy, credentialing (facility and individual), training and development and all other Mirror departments.

  • Collaborates and monitors Mirror’s revenue cycle processes and benchmarks those processes against established standards, provides regular reporting as required by the Vice President of Treatment Services.

  • Responsible for assisting in the development of treatment curricula and ensures implementation of same within the designated component(s). Approves all modifications in the curricula through the Vice President of Treatment Services.

  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.

  • Collaborates with all facility directors and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.

  • Oversees clinical processes and implementation, policies and disseminates information accordingly.

  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new programs, processes, technologies, and systems to promote growth, improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.

  • Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.

  • Assists with the continuing education needs of staff through coordination or delivery of in-service units or initial approval of workshop hours. Oversight of annual in-service staff training for the staff they supervise.

  • Assists with training needs for new counselors, directors, and support staff as necessary.

  • Formulates proposals and makes recommendations to the Vice President of Treatment Services and President/CEO as required.

  • Works collaboratively with the Vice President of Treatment Services, Directors, Clinical Supervisors, and others to ensure that all treatment programs implement recognized evidence-based best practices that provide high quality client-centered care.

  • Utilizes data and outcomes measures to recommend changes in programs and processes to ensure high quality, client-centered care is delivered within a framework of sound business practices.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an industry-related field.

  • Strong business background preferred.

  • Knowledge of the behavioral industry or related field is preferred.

  • Ability to understand, interpret and analyze program evaluation data and design.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills required as well as ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be adaptable to change and have effective organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams and effectively supervise the work of other independent leaders in a positive, enabling way.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze/interpret/calculate/forecast data, evaluate plans, comprehend, explain complex information and work with multiple tasks.

  • Must be able to work in collaboration with the Vice President of Treatment and other agency senior executives.

  • Must be able to pass required security screening.

  • Employees who have been diagnosed with any type of substance use disorder or behavioral addiction/compulsion must have sustained a minimum of two consecutive years of abstinence from all intoxicating substances and symptoms of their chemical and/or behavioral addiction; and must be in full sustained remission.

  • Must be proficient in basic computer skills.

  • Physical requirements would include but not limited to standing, walking, talking, hearing and lifting (40/50 pounds). Walking stairs may be required as well.
