Olathe Medical Center Advanced Practice Provider (Urgent Care locations) in Olathe, Kansas

Job Summary:

We welcome you to join the Olathe Health team as an Advanced Practice Provider. The APP (PA or APRN) for Urgent Care Clinic Advanced Practice Providers include certified Physician Assistants (PA) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN). These providers will work collaboratively with sponsoring and/or supervising physicians to evaluate, diagnosis, and treat patients using evidence-based medicine to support their medical decision making. In an Olathe Health Urgent Care Clinic, the APP practice model includes providing care for low, mid, and high acuity urgent care same-day walk-in patients of all ages with various acute and chronic health concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate Degree NP or APRN degree, or degree in PA studies Minimum

  • Be able to manage all acuity level patients in a busy urgent care setting. (Minimum proficiency)

  • Be comfortable using EMR/EHR, Kronos, Excel, Outlook (Minimum proficiency)

  • Create a positive patient-centered approach to providing medical care. (Minimum proficiency)

  • Appropriate use of grammar and accurate spelling are essential for provider documentation. (Minimum proficiency)

  • Accurate use of medical terminology is essential for provider care and documentation. (Minimum proficiency)

  • Participate and engage with the organizational committees to foster continually growth for Olathe Health. (Minimum proficiency)

  • Develop effective communication with patients to ensure the best medical care. Develop strong collaborative relationships with physicians, nurses, and all other staff to ensure best work environment for all. (Minimum proficiency)

  • Demonstrate exceptional patient triage, assessment, and medical decision making skills for all level of acuity urgent care patients. (Minimum proficiency)

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or APRN or PA by the State of Kansas. Advance Practice Registered Nurses or PA providers must also meet Medicare’s qualification definitionwhich requires certification by recognized national certifying bodies for either NPs or PA at the advanced practice level.   • DEA License If required to prescribe medication. Minimum Upon Hire

  • Healthcare Provider CPR – (American Heart Association ONLY) Minimum Upon Hire

  • Adheres to and/or maintains departmental policies and procedures, to be regulatory compliant with TJC, OSHA, safety standards, or other regulatory agencies.
