Our aviation product development team in Olathe, Kansas is hiring a full time Aviation Software & Systems Engineer to support successful conception, development, simulation, testing and maintenance of sophisticated avionics systems including, but not limited to, attitude and heading references systems (AHRS) and inertial navigation systems (INS).
Garmin?s Aviation Software & Systems Engineers are responsible for conceiving innovative ways to improve the functionality, safety, and/or efficiency of avionics systems, generally by applying sensor technologies through research of emerging sensor technologies and development of new algorithmic approaches which have potential to provide a competitive advantage for avionics systems. Other core functions include designing, implementing, and testing embedded software for avionics systems and participating in support and maintenance of fielded systems numbering in the thousands and assisting in product design activities including electrical, software, or mechanical development. Also, participate in product introduction into manufacturing and support of manufacturing and manufacturing testing.
