Job Title: Civil Designer
Description
Perform civil engineering design tasks (grading, drainage, paving, geometric design, utility design).
Develop design alternatives and solutions for sections, alignments, right-of-way, and cost.
Assist in the design and development of site plans, water/wastewater, infrastructure, and transportation projects.
Coordinate with engineers and technicians; review and recommend changes to drawings.
Prepare civil engineering drawings for land development using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Collaborate with the design team to prepare AutoCAD drawings from sketches.
Develop drawings into completed project plans.
Perform basic civil layout and design tasks (plan and profiles, slope calculations, grading, cross sections, drainage).
Prepare section cuts, profiles, and cross sections from plan views.
Perform support tasks (plotting drawings, making submittals, spreadsheet work, proofreading).
Draft construction details and determine construction quantities.
Address permitting agency comments and communicate with agencies, utility companies, and contractors.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00
