Garmin Electronics Technician Intern in Olathe, Kansas

We are seeking a full-time Electronics Technician Intern for our world headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. In this role, you will be responsible for helping trace circuits of defective units, using knowledge of electronic theory and electronic test equipment to locate to the component level. Other essential functions include: \n\n\n\n\t\n\tDiscuss layout and assembly problems with Electronics technicians and draw sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units\n\t\n\t\n\tAssemble experimental circuitry (breadboard) or complete prototype model according to engineering instructions, technical manuals and knowledge of electronic systems and components and their functions\n\t\n\t\n\tAnalyze and recommend basic changes in circuitry or installation specifications to improve assembly, maintenance, test method or product performance\n\t\n\t\n\tSets up standard test apparatus or contrive test equipment and circuitry and conduct functional, operational, environmental and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production products\n\t\n\t\n\tAnalyze and interpret test data\n\t\n\t\n\tAdjust, calibrate, align and modify circuitry and components and record effects on unit performance\n\t\n\t\n\tRecord test/alignment procedures and results, defects, repair history, numerical and graphical data\n\t\n\t\n\tMust possess the ability to lift up to 25 pounds while using safe lifting techniques\n\t\n\n Qualified candidates must be pursuing an Associate of Arts degree in Electronics Technology or Vocational Certificate in Electronics Technology or a substantially related field.
