Epic Support Analyst

CTG is seeking an EpicInpatient Lead Generalistto support a client in the midwest region. The Application Analyst participates in the day-to-day, “keep the lights on” support of the Epic Inpatient modules, including Orders, ClinDoc, Stork, ASAP, CCM, Bugsy, and Security. This is a remote 2-year project!

Job Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide application support services for the Epic Inpatient module suite, including break/fix resolution and regular maintenance tasks

  • Troubleshoot complex break/fix incidents and provide timely and high-quality customer service, meeting established SLAs

  • Monitor work queues and resolve errors identified

  • Complete assigned maintenance tasks, building in the application based on specifications provided

  • Analyze and resolve requests for basic security changes

  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolution in the ITSM ticket management system

  • Analyze service requests, and make recommendations related to best practices, providing resolution for basic enhancement requests

  • Follow client’s documented Change Management process to obtain approval for promoting changes to the production environment

  • Escalate issues to the vendor as needed, and monitor Sherlock tickets for resolution

  • Maintain a customer-centric focus when performing all work functions

  • Use effective problem-solving skills to focus on issues and ensure that the solution and/or deliverable conforms to customer specifications

  • Completes assigned tasks as defined in the Statement of Work with minimal supervision

  • Submits internal and external status reports on time, as required.

  • Communicate effectively with peers, vendors, help desk agents, customers and management to ensure timely resolution to reported problems.

  • Inform CTG management on engagement quality concerns when appropriate

  • Work will be conducted in a primarily remote model, though the analyst may be asked to travel onsite initially for Knowledge Transfer and training


  • Epic certified in 1 or more of the following inpatient modules: Orders, ClinDoc, ASAP, CCM, Bugsy, Stork, Security

  • Community Connect Experience

  • 2 or more years’ experience in Epic support & maintenance

  • In-depth knowledge of hospital clinical workflows required

  • Minimum of five years’ progressive clinical/healthcare experience

  • Strong problem-solving & troubleshooting skills, with the ability to communicate resolutions to customers

  • Self-starter with demonstrated teamwork & communication skills
