Garmin is looking for an Oracle ERP Solutions Architect in our Olathe, KS office. This position provides leadership in project execution and design of new or existing systems or applications across multiple functional, system, or module areas. \n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n\n\n\tWork with Garmin associates and IT Staff to provide application design guidance, documentation, training, and quality control \n\tWork with Application Analysts, Developers, and customers to design, implement, configure, and support Oracle eBusiness and other ERP or business applications\n\tWork with IT and business to analyze/configure/tailor/design ERP application customizations, extensions, and integrations to meet business needs\n\tMentor Application Analysts, Application Developers, or other associates related to ERP functionality, best-practice ERP design, and testing\n\tParticipate in design and change review processes.\n\tServes as a business wide leader in project execution and design of new or existing systems and/or applications\n\tConduct requirements gathering/design sessions for new functionality and customizations \n\tTest custom applications and Oracle patches\n\tGathers and documents complex requirements for business needs and independently determines complex solution designs across multiple functional/systems/module areas\n\tTranslates, negotiates and communicates architectural and development concepts across development teams \n\tDevelops project documentation including statements of work, detailed project plans, architecture designs, detailed implementation plans, deployment plans, project test plans and operational training materials \n\tCompletes complex troubleshooting and is able to determine appropriate course of action to deliver actionable results\n\tDemonstrates broad understanding of Garmin’s business model including Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales & Marketing\n\tDevelops reliable solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity\n\tExemplifies Garmin’s Mission Statement and Quality Policy and proactively works to improve Garmin’s image and culture \n\n\nOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\n\n\tParticipate in project definition activities including feature analysis and system tradeoffs\n\tPerform other duties as necessary\n EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:\n\n\n\tBachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or another relevant field AND a minimum of 9 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience\n\tOutstanding academics with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge\n\tMust possess experience (as noted in first bullet) with ERP applications as a Business/Application Analyst or Programmer specifically architecting and designing ERP solutions and integration points in a complex business environment\n\tExperience with PL/SQL(Programming Language/Structured Query Language) \n\tMust have experience with Oracle EBS module suites which include Discrete Job Manufacturing, Procurement and Inventory Management\n\tExperience with interfaces between Oracle EBS and other connected applications\n\tExpereince with understanding the manufacturing processes and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)\n\tExperience with Oracle application tools (e.g. Workflow, etc.) \n\tDemonstrated experience in successful implementation of technology solutions\n\tDemonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a large team or departmental setting\n\n\nGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
